I could write post telling you all the reasons why I haven't posted for so long - appointments, children, and the chaos of life. But who wants to read about that?! Let's chat about something more interesting - like Christmas!!
This is a new release pattern from "Two Brown Birds", titled "Merry Christmas". It featured in "Handmade" magazine, Vol 30, No 11. It's a lovely quick embroidery worked in backstitch and French knots. It's now available as a pattern for purchase through your local patchwork shop.
The next new design is titled "Lovely Mushrooms", and featured in "Handmade" Vol 30, no12. It uses raw edge machine applique, and a small amount of embroidery worked in back-stitch, satin stitch and lazy-daisy stitch. Another quick, cute design, which will be available as a pattern in the new year.
In amongst the busy times, we've managed to squeeze in a wee bit of Christmas preparation, such as making sparkly baubles.
And when I saw this recipe for "Tim Tam Truffles", I knew I had to try it. There are no words, just "Mmmmmmm......"
So this year my Christmas seems to have a ball theme - whether they be sparkly, or made of chocolate.
I'll be taking a break over Christmas, to spend time planning new projects, and having a holiday in beautiful Ballarat.
