Many Australian are familiar with the iconic Australian poem by Dorothea Mackellar, called "My Country". It is often mistakenly thought to be called "I love a sunburnt country", after one of it's best known lines.
This stitchery shows the second, well known verse of the poem, and is surrounded by gum leaves, gum nuts and gum blossoms.
It is worked in backstitch, and French knots.
